Position Summary The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for providing a wide range of HR support with an emphasis on recruiting, onboarding, and administration.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Actively supports all functions of HR including but not limited to recruiting, onboarding, orientation, payroll, benefits administration, and safety; assists with training activities and compliance-related activities.
Support full life cycle talent requisition; maintaining and updating job descriptions and job postings, social media campaigns; initial screens, conducts background checks, contact references and pre-employment drug tests; administers onboarding and offboarding related activities and tasks.
Ensures ancillary actions with IT, facilities and finance are coordinated in an efficient manner.
Processes status changes including transfers, promotions, leaves, and employee separations in our HRIS system, Paycor, and other ancillary systems.
Collaborates with management to ensure attendance and scheduling policies.
Support new hire benefits enrollment and assists with annual open enrollment initiatives.
Maintain filing structures and support document retention programs.
Run regular reports, update KPI's, communicate relevant data points.
Assists HR leadership with compliance related activities such as audits, labor posters, required notices, employee exemption statuses, FLSA, EEO, etc.
Assist in the development of programs that drive employee feedback and engagement as needed.
Escalates non-routine employee grievances to appropriate party to foster positive employee relations and/or mitigate risk.
Assists with employee recognition programs, coordinating company events, etc.
Assists HR leadership and participates in department initiatives and projects as needed; actively contributes to continuous improvement with the team.
Support other HR generalist functions as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications High school diploma required.
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar is beneficial.
2-3
years' experience in experience in areas of Human Resources - recruitment, benefits, payroll, compliance, employee relations, etc.
Highly computer literate.
Proficient in general office computer systems; Strong MS Excel or Google Sheets required.
Experience with Paycor (Human Resources, Payroll, Recruitment, and Learning modules) strongly preferred (similar HRIS and/or ATS acceptable) Exposure to Labor Law and employment equity regulations Entry level understanding of HR functions and best practices Effective administration, project management and collaboration skills required.
Strong interpersonal skills - approachable, self-motivated, and highly focused on maintaining positive employee relations.
Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred Strong organizational and time-management skills Demonstrated excellent writing skills using proper grammar, spelling etc.
Detail oriented.
Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality required.
PHR and/or SHRM-CP a plus.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
